My Teacher My Hero

Teachers; they will never know when and where their influence stops. They are our educators or 2nd parents, and also very supportive friend. We all know how great they are, in the way they educate us. And in my student life, I’ve been encountering groups of them as I go to school every day. They gave us their full dedicated energy and even risk their precious voices in class every day in order for them to be heard by the students at the back.
Teachers also our 2nd parents in the way they are advising us, guiding us in our studies for us to know and follow the right path specially the treat us like their true sons and daughters. A hero! Teachers really deserve to have that title because they even put their names in vain for to save us from those criticizing eyes of people.

And for me? Teachers are my hero, I’m so thankful because I have them in my life. I am also inspired by their inspiring deeds, through there are time that we know that they are already tired but they still stand up and continue teaching and guiding us. Teachers built me, they made me ready for my future. A school is useless without them. Us, the students can’t study hard without them. So now we must recognize them and make them feel how special they are and how thankful we are to have them in our life as we go through success.
“Ünravel the Causes, Build Solutions, Empower Science Clubbers to Action”

FUTURE! All of us now were dreaming to have a very good future not only in our selves but also a good future for the goodness of our surrounding specially to our nature. But the question is….Is there still a chance for us to change this bad things that is happening in our world now?

Yes! There is a big chance for us to change for the better not in the fact that we will magic things but in the way that we will do it slowly but surely especially when we will all move together.

With the theme, “Unravel the Causes, Build Solutions, Empower Science Clubbers to Action”, gives us nice message to do our part in protecting our mother nature. We as students can share our handling help to save mother earth, for an instance in our school, we can simply help by just segregating our garbages into their proper trash (biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and special waste), and by supporting the “No littering campaign” and being a good model to your fellow students in protecting and loving nature. Maybe some of the people will not appreciate these simple things, but as time passes by we can observe and notice that these things will be a big help in conserving our mother earth.

Pollution is not that big deal to us if we know how to care for our nature, we can unravel it, all of us have an important role to ensure that this world is worth living. As I mentioned a while ago, “We are dreaming for a good future”, let’s all move now or we might end up regretting for what we didn’t do in helping in conserving our nature. Let’s all make it a very wonderful place to live in.
Modern Hero of Today’s Generation

A true hero doesn’t wear super suits. Doesn’t wear panties and briefs over pants. A true hero commits something good. She is an ordinary person. We in our way can be a hero.
I once knocked down in my life. I was hopeless, stressed, and have no plan at all for my future. During this saddest time of mine, a simple girl knocked the door of my life and lighted my path. She served as my inspiration. Because of this girl also, I already have now my self-confidence. Because before, I’m too shy in talking to my friends and also I don’t trust myself every time a have a contest. But because of this girl, I’m doing now my best not to fail her. This is only a simple example or proof that even though we don’t have supernatural powers, we can be a hero to others.

She don’t have supernatural powers, she can’t fly, she can’t jump to a high building, or even walk or run in the water, but she once saved my life. That’s why I can say that she is my modern hero of today’s generation.

Month of August; The Month of Filipino Language

Here comes August month, another month for us to celebrate our own native language. If we are going to see and observe, it’s not that different for us to talk through our own language, I’s not that different for us to study and talk about it. But we must accept the fact that some of our fellow Filipinoes had already unembraced using our own dialect. Year after year, the month of August always knocks on our hearts to cultivate and none admire our own language. This month always reminds us how important Filipino language is.

“Wika natin ang tuwid na daan”. Another theme for us in celebrating being a Filipino, and having this wonderful and unique language. Some of us don’t know what is real essence and message of it. But I, as a true Filipino citizen, I truly understand how important it is. By using our language, it can make our understandings w/ one another, stronger and clearer, and by using it, we can proudly show to the world how we are loving it as important like our lives.  We can show our love and care for our language by just using it to good things.

So let’s do our part in promoting to use and to be a good model to our fellow Filipinoes in using our own language. And also let’s shout and say together one of our Filipino motto, “Akoý isang tunay na Pilipino, Mabuhay ang WikangFilipino”. Let us unite ourselves. J

2013 State Of The Nation Address

July 22 is another historical day for us Filipinos. Our very able and supportive president delivered again his 4th SONA. For me, this is the most detailed, clear and meaningful SONA of our president because he discussed a lot of things and problems during his deliveration of his SONA.
As I'm watching our dear president while delivering his SONA, I was amazed because I knew that he have finished lot of projects and solved many problems in our country. He also mentioned a man who is very good whom we should imitate.
During his speech, he mentioned different problems which he will be solving next for the betterment of our country. These was :

     *The power crisis in Mindanao
       *Continuing corruption
       *Bad traffic
       *Food problem
       *Failure dredge etc..

I'm hoping that these problems can be solved by our president as soon as possible. :)

NUTRITION MONTH CELBRATION

“ Gutom at Malnutrisiyon, Sama-sama Nating Wakasan “

Nowadays we are already encountering several kinds of diseases which caused by these junk foods and other types of foods that is not nutritious. Sometimes, have we ever asked ourselves if you are healthy? If yes, what do you think you are? Are you healthy? Or not?
This is one of the reasons why we are celebrating the nutrition month yearly to remind us that nutrition is very important to our life that we must always prioritize our nutrition. Why? Because like what they say, “Health is Wealth”. Yes, health is really a wealth because for me, our health is our life. Meaning, absence of health is absence of life. What’s the use of too much diamonds if you’re not healthy? Your diamonds will be drained by your unhealthiness. So let us always remember that our health is very important. If we are not aware of our nutrition before, let us make it as our hobby every day. Proper diet, daily exercise, and participating in different activities which regards to our physical fitness can make us live longer.
Malnutrition can be cut today if we only care for our present and future health. I can’t do it but we can do it together.

             LESSONS DURING FIRST GRADING PERIOD

During our first grading period, I’m so excited because we will be encountering new teachers again and new way of learning our different lessons.
As time goes by, it made hard to understand some of our lessons because I and my seatmates always keep on talking during our class and that made me harder to understand our lesson the next day. One problem that came also during our first grading period was when I was addicted to what they call Defense of the Ancient or commonly known as DOTA. This was the reason why I can no longer make my assignments during night time because I’m busy playing this game. This is the main reason also why I got low scores during our first periodical examination because instead of reviewing, I’m enjoying playing this game. That’s why I’m controlling now myself in playing DOTA during school days and talking with my friends during our class this second grading period.
And now, if ever I’ll got low grades this first grading period, I’m expecting to get higher grades this second grading because the reasons why I can’t participate in class will be cut now.:)

LETTER TO PRESIDENT

                                                                                                               Ilocos Sur National High School
Gomez St., Vigan City, Ilocos Sus
                                                                                                               June 28, 2013
Dear Mr. President,
I know that being a leader of a country is one of the hardest duty that a man could ever have. That's why I'm congratulating you for being a great president in this institution, for your different projects in our country, and for donating foods and helping those who were attaked by different  calamities.
Mr. President, I am a student of Ilocos Sur National High School at Vigan City, Ilocos Sur and expecting to graduate this school year. For almost 4years of staying in this school, I observed that this school lacks of books, chairs, and sports facilities. And this is what I'm asking you for a favor Mr. President because due to these lackings, some of the students can't no longer participate in some activities. Especially in terms of books. Some of the students are using their money in photocopying books because some of them don't have books. And for the lackings of school facilities, our athletes were mostly losing during a competition because they can't practice for the best they can be due to the counted number of sports facilities.
I'm just concern for the next generation of students who will be studying in this school because I don't want them to experience what we are experiencing right now. I'm hoiping for your kind consideration. :-)

                                                                                                              Respectfully yours,
                                                                                                              Braulio Salvador A. Rosetes
